Our Team At Speedy Signs Rotorua, our team is what makes everything happen. We’re a practical, hands-on group who take pride in delivering signage that works in the real world — and making the process easy for our clients. Client & Account Team Mike Cook (Owner/Managing Director) leads key client relationships and overall delivery, ensuring every project runs smoothly and meets expectations. Carey, our Key Account Manager, keeps projects on track day-to-day, managing communication and making sure nothing slips through the cracks. Patrick, our Business Development Manager, works with new and existing clients to find the right solutions and support their growth. Production & Installation Terry, our Production Manager, oversees scheduling, fabrication, and installs to keep everything running efficiently. Amber, our designer, turns ideas into clear, production-ready artwork. Charlie, Grant, and Liam handle the build and installation — bringing each project to life with skill and attention to detail. How We Work We focus on clear communication, reliable delivery, and getting the job done right. Mike Cook
Owner & Managing Director

Mike is the Owner and Managing Director of Speedy Signs Rotorua. With extensive experience across signage fabrication, project management, and business leadership, he oversees strategic direction and ensures every project meets the company’s high standards for quality and reliability. Mike remains closely involved in client relationships and complex projects, bringing practical insight and hands-on problem solving to deliver dependable signage solutions.



Patrick May
Business Development Manager

Patrick works closely with businesses and organisations across the region to understand their signage needs and develop effective, practical solutions. With a strong focus on building long-term relationships, he helps clients plan signage that supports their brand, improves visibility, and delivers lasting value. His proactive approach ensures clients always have a trusted point of contact.



Carey Cockery
Customer Account Specialist

Carey is the Customer Account Specialist at Speedy Signs Rotorua and plays a central role in ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish. Known for her organisation, responsiveness, and attention to detail, she coordinates client communication, approvals, and scheduling to ensure expectations are met and exceeded. Carey is committed to providing clients with clear, reliable support throughout every stage of their signage projects.



Amber Logan

Amber is responsible for transforming ideas into clear, precise artwork ready for production. With a strong eye for layout, detail, and brand consistency, she ensures every sign not only looks great but is technically correct for manufacture. Her work plays a key role in ensuring a seamless transition from concept to finished product.



Terry Smith
Production Manager

Terry is the Production Manager at Speedy Signs Rotorua and brings significant industry experience in signmaking, fabrication, and large-scale installation management. He holds a New Zealand Certificate in Signmaking and has managed major commercial signage projects, including high-profile installations such as the 16-metre Waitomo fuel pylon and complex banner and structural signage systems. With a strong background in installation planning and execution, Terry oversees production workflow, scheduling, and installation coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard. His technical expertise and leadership strengthen Speedy Signs Rotorua’s capability to deliver complex signage solutions with confidence.

Grant Pollitt
Installation Team Leader

Grant is a key member of the production and installation team, recognised for his problem-solving ability, technical capability, and dependable work ethic. He contributes across fabrication, finishing, and installation, consistently applying a practical, solutions-focused approach. Grant’s attention to detail and commitment to quality help ensure every project is delivered efficiently and to the high standard Speedy Signs Rotorua is known for.



Charlie Smith
Senior Signwriter

Charlie is a trained and very experienced signwriter Charlie is an experienced signwriter and installer who brings craftsmanship and attention to detail to every project. From fabrication and finishing through to installation, he ensures signage is completed to a high standard and performs reliably in the field. His practical experience and pride in his work contribute significantly to the quality of the finished product.



Liam MacGregor
Production Assistant & Installer

Liam is part of the production and installation team at Speedy Signs Rotorua, supporting fabrication, preparation, and onsite installation. He brings a strong eye for detail and craftsmanship, developed through his hand-crafted furniture business, The Fat Beagle, where precision and finish quality are essential. His practical skills and careful approach contribute to the consistent quality of our signage, both in the workshop and during installation. Liam is also preparing to undertake a formal signmaking apprenticeship, reflecting his commitment to developing his skills and supporting the future of the signage industry. His growth within the team strengthens our long-term capability and reinforces our commitment to maintaining professional signmaking standards.
