Speedy Signs Whanganui (Wanganui) | Our Signage Team

Our Team

You’ve seen all the incredible work, now it’s time to meet the team!

Simon Lundon, Miles Ward, Jacob Ruscoe and Ricardo Mendes Da Costa

Simon Lundon
The Talker

I’m the owner of Speedy Signs Whanganui and work closely with customers to make sure they get signage that actually works — not just something that looks good, but something that helps bring in more business. I’m involved right through the process, from the first conversation and quoting, through to making sure every job runs smoothly and is finished to a high standard. Outside of work, I’m usually out on the field — playing football for Whanganui Athletic during winter, and getting stuck into Kickstart rugby at Kaierau. I enjoy being part of a team and a bit of competition, which carries through into how I approach the business. I’m big on keeping things straightforward and building a team culture where everyone takes pride in their work and backs each other to get the job done right.

Miles Ward
The Artist

I’m the Lead Designer, and I love turning ideas into signage that actually works — not just something that looks good on a screen. I’m big on the small details. How it reads from down the road, how it sits on a vehicle, how it lines up on a building. Anyone can make something look flashy, but I focus on making sure it’s clear, sharp, and does the job it’s meant to do. I enjoy working through ideas with the team and our clients, then bringing them to life in a way that’s practical, install-ready, and built to last. There’s a real satisfaction in seeing a design go from concept to something out in the world getting noticed every day. At the end of the day, if what I’ve designed helps a business stand out and grow, that’s what it’s all about.

Jacob Ruscoe
The Producer

I’m the Production Manager, and I’m the one making sure everything we design actually gets produced and installed to the highest standard. I take a lot of pride in getting things right — from the prep work through to the final install. It’s not just about putting signs up, it’s about making sure everything is straight, clean, and built to last. I work closely with the team to keep jobs running smoothly and on time, and I’m always thinking a few steps ahead to avoid problems before they happen. Every job is a reflection of us, so I make sure it’s something we’re proud to put our name to. There’s nothing better than stepping back at the end of a job and seeing a clean, sharp result out in the real world.

Ricardo Mendes Da Costa
The Finisher

I’m the Lead Installer at Speedy Signs Whanganui, and I’m the one making sure everything we produce ends up looking sharp out in the real world. A great design only works if it’s installed properly, so I focus on getting every detail right — from positioning and alignment through to the final finish. I take a lot of pride in clean installs. Straight lines, no bubbles, no shortcuts. Whether it’s vehicle graphics, window frosting, or large-scale signage, I make sure it’s done properly and built to last. I’m also thinking ahead on site — working through the best way to install something safely, efficiently, and with the best possible result. I enjoy being hands-on and seeing a job come together. There’s a real satisfaction in stepping back at the end of an install and knowing it looks spot on and will represent the client well every day. At the end of the day, it’s about doing the job right and making sure everything we put our name on reflects the standard we stand for.
